Butyl Tri Glycol (BTG) is a colorless to pale yellow liquid solvent with good solvency, low volatility, and a high boiling point of about 278°C.
BTG is commonly used in inks, coatings, cleaning formulations, brake fluids, and as a component in hydraulic and lubricant systems, as well as a chemical intermediate for producing other polyether compounds.
Synonyms:
- Triglycol monobutyl ether
- Butoxytriethylene glycol
- Butoxytriglycol
- 2 -(2 -(2 butoxyethoxy)ethoxy) ethanol
